Demonstration study

SaaS Operating System

A demonstration product architecture for subscription onboarding, account management, and analytics-ready workflows.

SaaS Operating System: schematic concept illustration
Concept illustration. This study is not a deployed client product.

Study context

B2B Software

Demonstrates how a SaaS product can be structured for ownership and future scale.

Proposed technology direction

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL-ready
  • Design system

The problem space

Keep the product understandable as it grows.

Subscription products connect onboarding, account management, and recurring workflows. When those concerns are mixed together, small changes can become difficult to reason about.

Design direction

Separate the core product responsibilities.

The concept explores a shared application shell with distinct onboarding, account, and analytics areas. Typed components and a PostgreSQL-ready data direction provide a starting point for discussing boundaries and ownership.

Before production

What would need validation.

A production scope would need tenant isolation, authorisation, billing behaviour, migration plans, and realistic user journeys tested. The illustration demonstrates organisation; it does not establish that these integrations exist.

  • The problem and who it affects
  • What already exists
  • Your constraints and timing

A complete specification is not required. We start by clarifying fit and scope.
